Update on Baby!

I went to the Dr today for a quick checkup. The heartbeat was strong and loud and still in the 150's. We go on Monday for our ultrasound to find out if it's a boy or girl. I can hardly wait!

Lily's First Bowling Trip

Today we took a trip to Fast Lane in Lowell for Lily's first real bowling outing. That place is awesome; it was my first time to go there. We all got shoes and balls and were ready to go...

Lily bowled very well. Thank goodness for bumpers! Bowling is great for learing to take turns and cheering for others. She was really good at giving fives when Daddy and I bowled well.
We had a great time and I can't wait to go back. They have good deals on bowling during week days, so maybe she and I will go sometime during the summer. Lily's score was pretty good and I actually beat Lance!

Bits and Pieces.

It's been a busy few weeks since our last post, so we have lots of pictures to show you and stories to tell!

We spent Mother's Day weekend this year at Nana and Papa's house. On Saturday, we took Lily to her very first wedding. Lee and Lisa got married on May 9th and Lily loved the wedding. She called Lisa "the pretty white princess!" but she still wouldn't get close enough to her to take a picture. But we do have pictures of Lily dancing at the reception.

We had a big Mother's Day dinner at Nana and Papa's on Sunday afternoon. Beth and all the kids were there also. We had a great dinner before we had to head home.

Last week, Lily and her class had their annual music class "performance" so parents can come and see what they've learned this year. They did very well, though Lily is more of a percussionist than a singer.

On Friday, Lily and Mommy went to get haircuts. Lily sat in the chair all by herself. I am so proud of her and her new short, summer haircut is really cute.

Friday night we went to the Razorback baseball game. I was fireworks night and we actually made it all the way through. It was only Lily's second game this season and all I can say is that she's a little more active than she used to be!

On Saturday, along with a stomach virus, Lily got her new big girl bed. She was really excited and has slept pretty well in it.

Rainy Silver Dollar City Day

This Saturday we took our first trip to Silver Dollar City this year. We knew it would be a yucky, rainy day but we didn't want to miss World Fest, so we went totally prepared. We saw two great shows, The Chinese Acrobats and Feet of Fire Irish dancing. Lily loved both shows and sat very well. We had lunch and rode the train. It was a great day despite the rain.
Lily decided to try out Mommy's lipstick before our trip. Lily staying dry in her bubble.
It finally stopped raining!

Update on Baby#2

I had my monthly doctor's appointment this morning and all seems to be good. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. It's heart rate was in the 150's. Next month we get to have our ultrasound and find out if Daddy gets his boy...

Easter!

Easter morning came early at our house this year. Papa and I had to get up early so we could be at Easter Sunrise Service. We played handbells in the sunrise service and in the regular morning service. Thanks to Lance and Nana for getting breakfast done and putting the ham in the oven.

The easter bunny visited our house while we were at church and Lily got her surprises when we got home. She was really funny because when we tried to get her to check out what the easter bunny brought her, she didn't want to come. She was afraid he was still hanging around and we all know how scary he is! All she was really excited about was her new Barbie doll and Ken.

Easter Egg Activities

As always Easter weekend was big around our house. Nana and Papa were in town visiting and spoiling Lily as usual. Saturday morning was the annual freezing cold church easter egg hunt. Nana mentioned that maybe eventually we'll get a picture of Lily hunting eggs without her coat over her cute outfit.

Celebrating her domination!

After the Easter Egg Hunt, Lily & Nana dyed eggs together. Everything went great except the one broken egg and the whole cup of blue dye spilled on the rug. We all had a great time and the eggs were really pretty. They made great deviled eggs for easter dinner also.
